Clay Staples

  Clay Staples passed away on September 10th at age 91.  He had been a patient at the Cameron Glen Care Center in Reston Virginia for the past year. Clay was a engineer/test pilot from the late 40's to the late 70's.  He was a Navy reconnaissance pilot in PBY Catalina seaplanes in the Caribbean during WWII.  He was a true southern gentleman, a native of Harrisonburg, Va. and a graduate of Virginia Military Institute.  His wife Peggy passed away the previous year and he is survived by two sons.
