Victor H, Haase, spouse of FAA retiree Elisabeth, died at a local hospital in Colorado Springs, CO on May 18,2006 at the age of 87 His 27 year military career look him from bombardier duty during WW II, to transportation officer duty during the Korean War, and his tours in the U.S. and in Europe. He worked another twenty years for the Civil Service in Europe before making his final move with his wife to Colorado Springs, Even during retirement he was very active in military organizations where he held office in the Retired Officers Association and the Colorado Springs city government where he served on several committees that seek to better our community. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 51 years Elisabeth, his daughters Carolyn Bayward and Marion Franz, and grandchildren Christopher Hayward, Danielle and Alexander Franz. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Henrietta Haase, his younger brother Earl, and grandson Scott Hayward.
The Memorial Service was held at Swan Law Cascade Chapel on Monday, May 22, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. The PAFB Honor Guard will performed the graveside ceremony at Evergreen Cemetery following the memorial service.
