Frances Carella

Mrs. Frances Theresa Carella
was born January 31, 1918 in New York City to Venerando and Giuseppina D'Aquino. She passed
away May 22, 2006 at home
after a short illness. Frances met Arduvino (Ben) Carella, the love of her life and best friend, in 1939
while attending Night School. Following Ben's graduation from
Army Air Corps Flying School, they were married November 10, 1942 in Selma,
Alabama. Fran's zest for life included singing, dancing,
gardening, bridge, and her faith. She listened well and shared a positive
attitude. She hosted fantastic dinner parties and was the #1 supporter at River
Club tennis matches. Fran will be remembered with joy by all of the friends she
made traveling and living throughout the world. She will be missed by her
family of friends from the River Club, Martin's Landing, and St. Andrew
Catholic Church in Roswell, GA. Frances will be missed and always loved by Ben
her husband of 63 years, their three children, Francis (John) Lensi, Constance (Bruce Copelan) Carella, James (Lori) Carella;
Nana's five beautiful granddaughters, Michelle, Samantha, Aimee, Kirsten,
Loren; her great-grandchildren, Katelin Mary, Liam
James, John Arduvino, Ethan Daniel, Mia Michelle;
many loving nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at St. Andrew
Catholic Church, 675

Roswell, GA on June 3, 2006 at 11;00 a.m. In lieu of floweres,

Fran
was 88 years young. Her husband Ben was a Flight Inspection Pilot. He retired
from the Atlanta area office and they have lived in
Roswell, GA. since. They have attended most of the FSR Reunions
including the last three. Both of their daughters and one son-in-law joined
them at the Philadelphia Reunion.Our son who lives in
Manhattan, NY joined us; and the two families enjoyed a nice dinner
together at the Italian restaurant in back of the Clarion one evening during
the Reunion.
