Information
The Flight
Standards Retirees (FSR) organization welcomes anyone who is fifty years of
age, retired or not, if they have worked in the Flight Standards organization
or one of its predecessors.
The dues are
TEN dollars ($10.00) per year payable each January 1st. Dues should be sent to
the Secretary/Treasurer whose address is listed in the Newsletter.
Dues
statements are not sent and, if not paid by April, past due notices may have to
be sent. This costly time consuming operation makes extra work for your
volunteer staff.
Jack Kenton
is the Editor of the newsletter and he welcomes any information of interest to
the membership. Material can be sent directly to him by mail, or E-Mail.
Newsletters are published in March, July and November and news should be sent any time that you have something to share. Information
should be received less than 30 days before the publish date (remember that
we're volunteers). Items should be sent the month before the publish month,
i.e., February 1, June 1 and October 1,
A roster is
published each year but mailed to members bi-annually using the
Secretary/Treasurer's database. Members with an email address may request a
copy from the webmaster at any time. You should
check the current Roster to be sure information about you is correct.
Has your
Area code or ZIP code changed? Have you been receiving the newsletters? Send
your changes to the Secretary/Treasurer. Changes will be published in the
newsletters.
Members'
newsletters will be sent to the addresses listed in the Roster. Some members
have two addresses listed. The dates listed in the Roster will determine where
the newsletters will be sent.
All members
are encouraged to keep FSR informed of address changes. FSR guarantees the
postage on their mail and requests address changes be
sent by the post Office. The addresses received from the Post Office are
entered into the database. Each notification from the Post Office costs FSR
money and depletes limited organization funds. The cost of forwarding, when
combined with printing costs can easily exceed a member's annual dues.
E-Mail
addresses are also listed in the Roster and are revised in regular
publications. Online users are also encouraged to use this web page or E-Mail
system to inform other users of their address changes.
Once again our
newsletter is written by FSR volunteers for the use of FSR members. Any ideas
for change should be brought to the attention of the Board of Directors.
Thank you for your continued support.
